The violent images quickly spread on social media, causing widespread outrage. In a statement following the incident, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya noted that the attacker also had a disability report. The individual was referred to the courthouse after the necessary procedures.

It has been determined by our Cyber Crime Department of the General Directorate of Security that during a live broadcast on a social media account, "a man was physically assaulting the woman next to him." As a result of the investigations, it was identified that the suspect who applied violence to the woman named N.K. is B.S. (with a disability report) and he has been apprehended."
