At around 20:30 in the Altıeylül district of Balıkesir, a hostage situation reminiscent of movie scenes occurred. A woman, whose name has not been disclosed, was taken hostage by Zafer T. in a house located in the Gaziosmanpaşa neighborhood. 4 HOURS OF NEGOTIATION ENDED WITHOUT SUCCESS

After taking security measures around the building, police teams contacted Zafer T. When Zafer T. did not respond to the negotiation efforts that lasted approximately 4 hours, the police conducted an operation at the house. The suspect, who responded negatively to all our teams' negotiation efforts and attacked the hostage with a knife, was neutralized by our security forces.
