A person passing by kicked the woman's foot. I waited for him to apologize. He went to the other side. Then the woman entered a shop, came out, and called her father. I thought, 'I hope there won't be a fight when the girl's father arrives,' so I pulled the suspect away. But the man didn't care at all. He started cursing at me. He pulled my clothes, and they tore. Then everyone got involved in the incident. I did what I had to do. That young girl could have been my mother or the sister of someone I love. I did my human duty. I would do it again if it happened again. Then the police took the man away," he explained. HE WAS DETAINEDAnother local shopkeeper, İbrahim Güneş (39), also noted: "The man tripped a woman's foot. The woman was disturbed by the situation. However, the suspect did not leave the scene. The man was drunk. He did not let go of the woman. My boss intervened in the incident. When we saw him, we couldn't hold back either, and we beat the man. Later, the municipal police and shopkeepers intervened." After the incident, the suspect R.Z. was detained by the police and taken to the police station for his statement.
