The meeting between President Erdoğan and Devlet Bahçeli has begun.

The critical meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has begun. The meeting is being held at Bahçeli's residence in Ankara.

BAHÇELİ GREETS AT THE DOOR

In the first face-to-face meeting of the new year, Bahçeli greeted President Erdoğan at the door. The last meeting between Erdoğan and Bahçeli took place on November 14, 2024, at Beştepe.

TOPICS ON THE AGENDA

During the meeting, it is expected that the discussion will include Bahçeli's remarks about the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan made during a group meeting last year, as well as the visits of the DEM Party. The new phase in Syria is also considered to be on the agenda of the two leaders. The DEM Party delegation had first met with Bahçeli during their political party tours following their visit to İmralı. Additionally, it is expected that Erdoğan will congratulate Bahçeli on his birthday, which falls on January 1.
