The makam used by a mosque imam while reciting the call to prayer drew significant backlash. Comments were made regarding the images that quickly garnered widespread attention, questioning, "Is the imam scolding the citizens for not coming to the mosque?"

A video of unknown origin quickly caused a great stir. In the footage, a mosque imam is heard reciting the call to prayer (adhan) in a different mode. Comments such as "They have cut his salary," "This is not how it should be recited," and "Are you reciting the holy adhan or rebelling against Allah? It's unclear" were made under the viral video.

Some social media users who watched the video suggested that the footage might be edited, stating, "If this is true, necessary actions should be taken against this imam," calling on the Directorate of Religious Affairs to take action.
