The Ministry of Trade continues to make decisions to recall products that threaten child safety, as announced in a notice published through GÜBİS. Officials from the ministry, who have banned the market release and decided to recall the "Mini Pakel" brand baby bodysuit, announced that the product poses a chemical risk.

While the Ministry of Trade continues its inspections, it continues to expose products that may pose a risk to citizens one by one. The ministry has added new products to those whose market release has been banned and for which a recall decision has been made, published through the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS).

RECALL DECISION MADE

The ministry announced that a ban on the market release and a recall decision has been made for baby bodysuits, which particularly concern parents. It was stated that the decision was made because the "Mini Pakel" brand baby bodysuit poses a chemical risk.

TESTS RESULTED IN "FAIL"

The ministry announced that the ecological tests of the baby bodysuit received a "fail" result in the "free nickel" section, stating, "According to the Test Report of Ekoteks Laboratory and Supervision Services Inc., the analysis conducted within the scope of the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals has resulted in a 'fail' result in the ecological tests for the 'Free Nickel' section."

The ministry explained that the decision was made in accordance with the "Law No. 7223 on Product Safety and Technical Regulations, -Regulation on Market Surveillance and Inspection of the Ministry of Trade, -Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals, -Regulation on Persistent Organic Pollutants, -Regulation on Textile Fiber Names and Labeling and Marking of Textile Products' Fiber Compositions."
