The Ministry of National Defense announced the dirty plan implemented by the terrorist organization PKK in northern Iraq through its social media address.

In the Ministry's statement titled "Low plan from the terrorist organization PKK," it was stated that the terrorists set fire to the forests in order to prevent their locations from being detected in northern Iraq and lied to the local people by saying "The forests burned as a result of the fire opened by the Turkish Armed Forces."

In the Ministry's statement made while the fire that caused the death of 15 people between Diyarbakır and Mardin on Thursday, June 20th, was still fresh, the following statements were included under the second heading "They are trying to hide by burning the forests":

"PKK terrorists, who couldn't find any escape holes in northern Iraq, started setting fire to the forests. The terrorists, who used the villagers in Dergele village as shields and fired at our forces, started setting the forests on fire to prevent their locations from being detected.

These terrorists, who know the sensitivity of the Turkish Armed Forces towards civilians and residential areas, are trying to endanger the civilian population in northern Iraq by using the villagers as shields and setting the forests on fire to hide, just like they have been doing for years.
