The Ministry of Trade announced through GÜBİS that the "Sweet Sugar" and "Melon" room fragrances of the "L'actone" brand pose chemical and health risks. The ministry has decided to ban the sale of these room fragrances and to recall them from the market.
The Ministry of Trade announced new products that pose health risks to the public through the "Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS)." Two room fragrances from the brand "L'actone" have been added to the list.
SMELLS LIKE "POISON," NOT "SUGAR"
The Ministry stated that the room fragrances "Sweet Sugar" and "Melon" from the L'actone brand contain cuts, chemicals, and health risks. The Ministry of Trade explained the reason for the insecurity with the statements, "Violations have been detected regarding Sea Regulation Article 19, which states that there should be no content information on the label; the lack of at least the information that should be on the label on the inner packaging as stated in Sea Regulation Annex-1/1.5.1; and the absence of the tactile hazard symbol as per Sea Regulation Annex/2 3.2 (Ts En Iso 11683)."
SALES PROHIBITED, RECALL IN PROGRESS
The Ministry announced that the sale of both products has been prohibited and a recall has been decided through GÜBİS. The Ministry stated that the decision was made in accordance with the "Law No. 7223 on Product Safety and Technical Regulations, Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals; Regulation on the Classification, Labeling, and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures."
