Following the fire disaster in Bolu that claimed the lives of 78 people, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism sent a letter marked "Urgent" to the governors of all 81 provinces, requesting the identification and sealing of unlicensed and undocumented accommodation facilities. During an inspection in Gökçeada, 13 hotels and guesthouses were sealed.
Thirteen hotels and guesthouses with missing documents were sealed in the Gökçeada district of Çanakkale. Last week, 57 establishments were sealed in Ayvacık and 36 in Bozcaada.
Following the hotel disaster in Bolu, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism sent a letter marked "urgent" to the governors of 81 provinces, requesting the identification and sealing of unlicensed and undocumented accommodation facilities. Çanakkale Deputy Governor Abdül Kadir Duran, Gökçeada District Governor Nurbaki Yalçın, Gökçeada Mayor Bülent Ecevit Atalay, along with municipal police and police teams, inspected the hotels and businesses found to have missing documents. Hotel and guesthouse owners were informed prior to the sealing process.
A NOTICE WAS POSTED ON THE DOORS
Municipal police teams posted a notice on the doors of the hotels and guesthouses stating, 'It has been determined that your business does not have a tourism operation certificate,' and the sealing process was carried out. During the inspections, a total of 13 hotels and guesthouses were sealed, including 3 in Çınarlı Neighborhood, 5 in Yeni Bademli, 2 in Uğurlu village, 2 in Fatih Neighborhood, and 1 in Eşelek village.
Last week, 57 establishments were sealed in Ayvacık and 36 in Bozcaada.
