Brazilian football was shaken by a great tragedy. 20-year-old young footballer Antony Ylano lost his life after colliding with a cow that had wandered onto the road while he was riding his motorcycle.
Antony Ylano, who is considered one of the future stars in Brazil, had an accident while returning home from his father's birthday celebration. It was determined that during the early hours of Monday morning, the young footballer collided with one of five cows walking in the middle of the BR-343 highway while riding his motorcycle.
According to security camera footage, Ylano was thrown onto the asphalt after colliding with the last cow in the herd. Two eyewitnesses who ran to the scene tried to help the young footballer, but despite their efforts, Ylano lost his life at the scene.
POLICE HAVE LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION
The Piaui State Police have launched an investigation into the accident. Initial findings revealed that Ylano did not have time to react to the animals that suddenly appeared in front of him. The injured cow staggered away from the scene for a while after the accident.
HE WAS CONSIDERED A FUTURE STAR
Antony Ylano, who started his career with the Altos and Fluminense-PI teams, later transferred to the Piaui U20 team. The young footballer had won the Piaui State Championship in 2024 and 2025 and was considered one of the promising talents in Brazilian football.
It was learned that Ylano was set to travel to Fortaleza with the Piaui U20 team to participate in the Brazil U20 Cup just one day after the accident.
