In Bilecik, a woman who was begging by exploiting the emotions of citizens with the statement "I came from Hatay, I am a earthquake victim" was caught by the municipal police teams. The woman, from whom 35,000 TL was found, was fined administratively.

Last night in a tea house in the center of Bilecik, teams from the Bilecik Municipality's Zoning Directorate took action upon receiving a report about an individual begging, saying, "I came from Hatay, I am a victim of the earthquake." Zoning Chief Özgür Özmen, along with Murat Sabit Çelik, Aydın Kurtuldu, Macit Öz, and Koray Uçak, visited all the tea houses in the city.

MONEY FOUND ON HER SHOCKED THE TEAMS

A woman named Hatice Y., who was begging with the same statements in a tea house, was caught while begging. The amount of money found on her shocked the teams. The individual had 35,000 TL on her.

"WE WANT OUR CITIZENS TO BE AWARE"

Bilecik Municipality Zoning Director Mücahit Öndersev, who warned against giving credibility to beggars, stated, "As the Zoning Directorate of Bilecik Municipality, we continue our duty to ensure the safety of our citizens' lives and property in every area. At the same time, we are fighting against individuals who exploit the religious and moral feelings of our citizens to collect money. We have formed a team regarding this issue, and our friends caught a beggar with nearly 35,000 TL on her. We want our citizens to be sensitive about this matter."

"WE DON'T WANT BEGGING TO BECOME A PROFESSION"

Öndersev, who stated, "We don't want begging to become a profession," added, "We expect our citizens to contact us without wasting time if they hear about or encounter such situations. We want to prevent such incidents from happening in Bilecik. Our strict inspections regarding this will continue."

BEGGING IN BILECIK AFTER COMING FROM BURSA

Zoning Director Öndersev also mentioned that beggars convince citizens with various false statements to collect money, causing them to become victims. Additionally, it was learned that Hatice Y., who had 35,000 TL on her, came from the Yenişehir district of Bursa.
