The couple Mert and Duygu Doğan, who lost their lives in the fire at the ski resort, along with their two children, were buried in Adana. At the funeral, Mert Doğan's mother, Ersin Doğan, embraced her son's coffin and kissed his head.
The couple Mert (41) and Duygu Doğan (40), who lost their lives in the fire tragedy at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya, along with their children Doğa (9) and Mavi Doğan (7), were laid to rest in their hometown Adana.
Mert Doğan, who served as the general manager of a Thailand-based plastic company, went to Kartalkaya Ski Resort for the mid-term holiday with his life coach wife Duygu and their children Mavi and Doğa Doğan. The Doğan family lost their lives in the fire that broke out at the hotel on the night of January 21.
EMBRACED AND KISSED HER SON'S BODY
The bodies of the Doğan couple and their children, whose autopsy procedures were completed, were brought to the Havutlu neighborhood in the Yüreğir district of their hometown Adana. Family members, Adana Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger, Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar, Deputy Minister of Health Halim Özçevik, and citizens attended the funeral at the neighborhood cemetery. Ersin Doğan, Mert Doğan's mother, embraced her son's body in the coffin and kissed his head.
THEY WERE LAID TO REST SIDE BY SIDE
Ersin Doğan, who wept saying "My Mert," was comforted by family members. The funerals of the Doğan family were buried side by side after the prayer was performed.
