RESIGNED
Jo Haylen, the New South Wales State Transport Minister, admitted to using her official vehicle for a personal trip and having her driver undertake a 446-kilometer journey lasting 13 hours. Following the backlash, she resigned. In a press conference today, Haylen announced her resignation, stating, "I made mistakes; no one is perfect. I did not break the rules, but I acknowledge that this is not the only test here. I disappointed the public, and I am very sorry for that."

Previously apologizing, Haylen said, "My mistakes are now harming the government. Politics is very tough. Expectations are very high. I am aware of that." Haylen, who presented her personal trip as a "business trip," will also pay the $750 expense of the trip.
