The mystery surrounding the death of the 5-year-old girl was unveiled 6 years later.

The child's murder was revealed years later by her brother. When he told his school counselor, "My father killed my sister," the father and two ex-wives were taken into custody.

In the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, a group fishing at night discovered the body of a 5-year-old girl when they pulled a piece of cloth caught on their hooks to the shore. Following reports, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene. An examination of the 5-year-old girl named M.İ. at the Forensic Medicine Institution revealed that she had been killed two days prior and subsequently thrown into a dam.

POLICE TRACKED THE KILLER

The police conducted their investigations based on the reports received from the Forensic Medicine Institution regarding the murder. As a result of the investigations, family members were questioned, but no suspicious circumstances were found.

"MY FATHER KILLED MY SISTER"

Six years after the incident, the brother of the 5-year-old girl who fell victim to the murder went to his school counselor in the Esenyurt district and said, "My father killed my sister and threw her into the lake." The teacher, suspecting the situation, informed the police. The child was taken under protection by the police and gave his statement with the assistance of a psychologist.

As a result of the investigations, the father and two ex-wives were taken into custody. The suspects, brought to the Istanbul Police Department's Public Order Branch, are undergoing interrogation at the Homicide Bureau.
