In the Konak district of İzmir, Mustafa Atıcıoğlu, a neighbor living on the upper floor, was shot with a rifle after an argument with retired guard Hasan D. over water flowing into his house. Atıcıoğlu passed away in the hospital where he was being treated. His 7-year-old son, P.A., is still receiving treatment.
The water dispute among neighbors in İzmir ended in tragedy. Retired guard Hasan D. became angry due to water flowing into his home and shot his upstairs neighbor Mustafa Atıcıoğlu with a shotgun. While Atıcıoğlu, who was seriously injured, passed away in the hospital, his 7-year-old son P.A., who was also hit by the bullets, is fighting for his life.
THE DISPUTE TURNED INTO A FIGHT
The incident occurred yesterday around 7:00 PM in the 4th floor of a 6-story apartment building located on 1136 Street in Zeytinlik Neighborhood. Retired guard Hasan D. started a dispute with his neighbor Mustafa Atıcıoğlu due to water flowing from the apartment above into his home. During the argument, Hasan D. fired at Mustafa Atıcıoğlu with the shotgun he had at home.
HE FIRED WITH A SHOTGUN
In the incident, both Mustafa Atıcıoğlu and his son P.A. were seriously injured by the pellets that hit their bodies. Neighbors, hearing the gunshots, alerted the authorities, and health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital for treatment after the first intervention. The police apprehended Hasan D. with the weapon used in the crime and took him into custody.

Mustafa Atıcıoğlu passed away today in the hospital where he was receiving treatment. His son P.A. is reported to be continuing his treatment. The suspect's procedures at the police station are ongoing.
