The process of changing the name of Eskişehir Stadium has concluded with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Accordingly, the new name of the stadium will be dedicated to Prof. Dr. Fethi Heper, a valuable intellectual raised in Eskişehir, as well as a legendary football player for Eskişehirspor and the National Team.
AK Party Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu announced that the name of Eskişehir Stadium has been crowned with the name of the legendary football player of Eskişehirspor and the National Team, Prof. Dr. Fethi Heper.
Deputy Hatipoğlu stated in a post on his social media account, "Dear Fellow Citizens, the process regarding the new name of Eskişehir Stadium has been concluded with the approval of our esteemed President. The new name of our stadium has been crowned with the name of our valuable fellow citizen, Prof. Dr. Fethi Heper, who is one of the esteemed intellectuals raised by Eskişehir, a legendary football player of Eskişehirspor and our National Team, and who dedicated his entire life to our city with his academic identity. We wish that this meaningful decision will be beneficial and auspicious for our city, and we remember Prof. Dr. Fethi Heper with love and respect."
