Discussions on the Framework Law proposal, prepared within the scope of the Terror-Free Turkey process and sent to the General Assembly of the Parliament after being accepted in the TBMM Justice Committee, began today. The New Party, whose stance on whether to vote 'yes' or 'no' on the law proposal was eagerly awaited, made its decision in a closed session. During the discussions, it was decided not to vote as a group, but for all members of parliament to cast their 'yes' or 'no' votes according to their own will.
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly started the discussions on the Draft Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion under the chairmanship of Parliament Speaker Celal Adan.
The Framework Law proposal will be voted on in the TBMM General Assembly after the discussions.
WHAT WILL THE NEW PARTY'S VOTE BE?
The Good Party will vote 'no' on the regulation submitted to the Parliament, led by the AK Party, MHP, and DEM Party groups. It was wondered how the New Party would respond.
Today, the New Party group, convened under the leadership of Özgür Özel, made its final decision on the Framework Law in a closed meeting.
NO STANCE WILL BE DECLARED
According to the news from Sözcü, following the decision made, attention was drawn to the shortcomings of the regulation to be submitted to the Parliament, and it was decided not to vote as a group. The 91 New Party deputies will use their own will to vote 'yes' or 'no' within the scope of the Framework Law. The party will not declare any stance on this matter.
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL WILL ANNOUNCE
The decision taken at the New Party's closed group meeting is expected to be announced by the Chairman Özgür Özel in the General Assembly.
