Istanbul PERDER has set the kilogram prices for minced meat and diced meat at 379 and 399 lira, respectively, throughout the month of Ramadan. They announced that they will deliver meat to households at affordable prices through local chain supermarkets.
The Chairman of the Board of the Istanbul Food and Necessities Retailers Association (Istanbul PERDER), Faruk Güzeldere, announced that they will offer ground meat at a price of 379 lira per kilogram and diced meat at 399 lira through local chain markets that are members of the association until the end of Ramadan.
In a statement made by Istanbul PERDER, Güzeldere, whose opinions were included, stated that they continue to carry out discount and price stabilization campaigns throughout the year as local markets to protect consumers against inflation in many product categories.
"THE APPLICATION WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE END OF RAMADAN"
Güzeldere explained that they have been delivering meat to households at the most affordable prices for about two years through a protocol with the Meat and Milk Institution, and added: "Within the framework of the protocol we have made with the Meat and Milk Institution, we have stabilized meat prices starting from today until the end of Ramadan. The application will continue until the end of Ramadan. We will deliver meat to households at economical prices. Through our member local chain markets across Istanbul, we will offer ground meat at a price of 379 lira per kilogram and diced meat at 399 lira until the end of Ramadan. With our local retail network, which we have established with 66 member markets, nearly 2,700 branches, and approximately 43,000 employees, we are reaching all households. We continue to protect consumers against price increases with our various campaigns. This year, just like the last two years, we are delivering meat to tables at economical prices during Ramadan. As Istanbul PERDER, we are determined to bring the abundance of Ramadan to the tables, and we stand by consumers against Ramadan opportunists. Starting from today, we have stabilized our prices. It is our duty to deliver meat to our consumers at economical prices during Ramadan."
Güzeldere also stated that prices have been stabilized in categories under "valuable meats," saying, "Tranche 459 lira, tenderloin and steak 649 lira, ribeye and beef chop 699 lira. We will meet our consumers at bountiful tables. We wish a blessed Ramadan to all our country."
