Premier League giant Chelsea is once again facing the nightmare of injuries. Romeo Lavia, who was signed for £58 million, was only able to stay on the pitch for 4 minutes during the Champions League match away against Karabag.
The 21-year-old Belgian midfielder, who was transferred from Southampton in the summer of 2023, has struggled with injuries throughout his Chelsea career. Lavia, who missed a significant part of last season due to a hamstring injury, has once again been injured just as he was starting to regain form this season.
In the 4th minute of the match, the young player fell to the ground, and after the intervention of the medical team, he was replaced by Moises Caicedo.
SUPPORT POURED IN FROM FANS
Lavia's re-injury caused great sadness among Chelsea fans. Thousands of supportive messages were shared on social media, while some comments expressed disappointment: "It's really a shame, such injuries at this age are terrible." "Lavia seems to be cursed."
CONCERNS GROW AT CHELSEA
The Chelsea coaching staff is awaiting a detailed medical report regarding the player's condition. If the injury turns out to be serious, Lavia may be sidelined for a long time once again. Concerns are growing within the club that the young star's career may be in jeopardy.
