The claim that İnan Kıraç, the 88-year-old businessman and son-in-law of Koç Group founder Vehbi Koç, was abducted from the hospital where he was being treated under state supervision has led to an increase in the number of suspects detained in the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to 3.
İnan Kıraç, who is undergoing treatment at Koç University Hospital under a court order, reportedly came into contact with individuals from outside while being monitored by attendants on the evening of May 22, Thursday, around 8:00 PM. The famous businessman left the hospital voluntarily by getting into a car. However, due to this exit occurring despite the explicit instructions previously communicated by the guardians to the hospital management, teams initiated an investigation.
An investigation has been launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, and the vehicle driver B.C. and K.İ. have been detained as part of the investigation.
THE NUMBER OF DETAINEES HAS INCREASED TO 3
The teams deepening the investigation also detained a person named A.Ş., who is alleged to be involved in the incident. It has been learned that the vehicle driver B.C., A.Ş., and K.İ., the three suspects involved in the incident, have given statements at the Public Order Branch Directorate. The suspects are expected to be transferred to the Bakırköy Courthouse, where the investigation is being conducted, later today.
It has been reported that the driver B.C. stated in his testimony to the police that he was unaware of the incident and that the vehicle was left to him later. It was noted that Kıraç was driven around the city for a while and then returned to his current residence. It has been learned that Kıraç was handed over to the guardians at home.
