The number of people killed in Israeli army airstrikes targeting different regions of Lebanon today, despite the ceasefire, has risen to 29. The Israeli army continues its attacks on Lebanon's southern regions despite the ceasefire that went into effect on April 17.
According to Lebanon's official news agency NNA, Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Romin district of Nabatieh in the afternoon. The attack completely destroyed the house, killing 3 people inside and wounding many others. In the Israeli attack on the southern district of Haruf, 1 person was killed, and in Abbasiye, 2 people lost their lives.
7 VEHICLES ATTACKED WITH DRONES
In attacks by the Israeli army on 7 vehicles using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in different regions of Lebanon, 12 people were killed. The Israeli army carried out airstrikes on the southern Lebanese districts of Upper Nabatieh, Shehhur, Numeyriyye, Abbasiye, Kfer Sir, Neumeyriyye, Kfer Hatta, Zehrani, Jerjou, East Zavtar, Arabsalim, and Suhmur.
In Israeli attacks on the Arabsalim district of Nabatieh province, 5 people from the same family lost their lives. In the attack on Numeyriyye, 4 people were killed, while in Upper Nabatieh and Shehhur districts, one person each lost their life.
ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON LEBANON AND THE CEASEFIRE
The Israeli army launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2, occupying many districts in the south of the country. The Lebanese government stated that the number of displaced people in the country during this period exceeded 1 million.
US President Donald Trump announced on April 24 that the provisional 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into effect on April 17, had been extended for three more weeks.
HEZBOLLAH CARRIES OUT ATTACKS ON ISRAELI FORCES ON GROUNDS OF CEASEFIRE VIOLATION
According to the latest data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, approximately 2,900 people have been killed in Israeli attacks that have continued despite the ceasefire declaration since March 2.
While the Israeli army continues its attacks and house demolitions in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire, Hezbollah carries out attacks on Israeli forces on the grounds of ceasefire violations.
