With the announcement of the inflation figures for May, the rate of increase that millions of civil servants and retired civil servants will receive has become clear. The increased salaries based on titles have also been determined.

4-MONTH INFLATION DIFFERENCE 16.55

With the finalization of the inflation data for October, the 4-month salary increase rate for civil servants has been set at 16.55 percent. If the inflation rate is not announced as negative in November and December, this rate means a guaranteed increase for civil servants and retired civil servants.

According to the calculations made, the new salaries of civil servants in various titles such as police, teachers, nurses, professors, chief inspectors, preachers, lawyers, research assistants, and engineers will increase by 16.55 percent.

SALARIES VARY BY INDIVIDUAL

Experts remind that civil servant salaries may vary according to factors such as degree, seniority, educational status, the region where the duty is performed, number of children, and language compensation. Therefore, it is stated that civil servants should base their salary increases on 16.55 percent of their current salaries when calculating their own salary increases.

TO BE ANNOUNCED ON JANUARY 5

With the announcement of the December inflation by TÜİK on January 5, 2026, the increased salaries that retirees will receive in 2026 will be determined. This increase will apply to SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, while for members of the Retirement Fund and civil servants, in addition to inflation data, the collective bargaining share will be taken into account for salary increases.

HOW IS THE CIVIL SERVANT SALARY CALCULATED?

Civil servants and retired civil servants will receive a collective bargaining increase of 11 percent for the first half of 2026, 7 percent for the second half, 5 percent for the first half of 2027, and 4 percent for the second half. In addition to these figures, a 6-month inflation difference will also be provided. Furthermore, a 1000 TL increase will be applied to base salaries in the first half of 2026.
