In the mining disaster in Zonguldak, where 2 workers lost their lives and 1 worker was injured, the owner of the operation has been arrested.
In Zonguldak, a mining disaster occurred yesterday, resulting in the death of 2 workers and injuries to 1 worker. Following the incident, the owner of the operation was arrested and sent to prison.
2 WORKERS LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE COLLAPSE OF THE MINE
In a private mine operating in the Gelik town of the Kilimli district, the bodies of 2 out of 3 workers trapped in the collapse were recovered. After the autopsy procedures, the bodies of Ziya Kiret and Veysel Oruçoğlu were handed over to their families for their final journey. İsmet Kabuk, who was rescued injured from the collapse, was discharged after treatment at the hospital.
THE OWNER OF THE OPERATION WAS ARRESTED
As part of the judicial investigation initiated after the disaster, the mine operator H.B. was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams. After processing at the police station, H.B. was transferred to the Zonguldak Courthouse and was arrested and sent to prison.
