A fire broke out in the open paper collection section of a paper factory located in Aydın. Firefighters, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The flames have been under control for approximately 7 hours.
The intervention of the teams continues in the paper factory fire that started in Söke district of Aydın. The flames intensified with the effect of the wind during the extinguishing efforts that lasted for hours.
FIRE IN THE AREA WHERE WASTE PAPERS ARE COLLECTED
A fire broke out in the scrap paper area of KİPAŞ Paper Factory located in Söke Organized Industrial Zone for an unknown reason. Citizens who saw the smoke reported the fire to the fire brigade. Fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
HELICOPTER AND AIRCRAFT JOINED THE EXTINGUISHING EFFORTS
While the firefighters intervened in the fire from the ground, 3 helicopters and 1 aircraft provided aerial support for the extinguishing efforts. While the teams continue their efforts intensively to bring the flames under control in the region, the fire trucks of Aydın Metropolitan Municipality and other surrounding municipalities, as well as TOMA vehicles affiliated with the Provincial Police Department, also started to intervene in the fire.
THE FIRE THAT WAS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL REIGNITED WITH THE WIND
The fire, which was largely brought under control in the evening hours, reignited with the effect of strong wind. The teams continue their struggle with the flames that illuminate the darkness of the night.
