The Revenue Administration (GİB) is ending the printed tax stamp application used for departures abroad. With the new regulation that will come into effect on January 1, 2025, payments for the exit tax will now be made digitally.
GREEN TRANSFORMATION STEP
As part of the regulation aimed at reducing paper usage and promoting environmentally friendly practices, informational posters have been placed at the foreign exit tax stamp sales points at Istanbul Airport. The posters state, "Easily pay your exit tax! As of January 1, 2025, payment with stamps will end. You can make your payments through the digital tax office, GİB Mobile, contracted banks, tax offices, or airport cashiers."
With the new application, passengers will now be able to pay their exit taxes through the following channels:
Digital Tax Office
GİB Mobile Application
Contracted Banks
Tax Offices
Airport Cashiers
