A 49-year-old individual named T.G., who insulted President Erdoğan on social media, was captured and detained in Syria, where he had fled from Küçükçekmece.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that T.G., who insulted President Erdoğan, has been captured and detained in Syria.
PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE ISSUED A WARRANT
Minister Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account, "It has been understood that the individual residing in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, has gone to Syria. A warrant has been issued by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for this individual, and he has been captured in Syria with the support of our General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department, the Security Department, and the Hatay Intelligence Branch."
LEGAL PROCESS INITIATED FOR 97 ACCOUNTS
Yerlikaya also reported that a legal process has been initiated regarding 97 accounts that shared the relevant content by the Cyber Crimes Department, and all of these accounts have been blocked from access by a court order.
