In the Geyve district of Sakarya, a total of 806 historical artifacts were seized during a search of a suspect's home and outbuildings in the "Anatolian Heritage" operation organized by gendarmerie teams.

In Sakarya, as a result of intelligence efforts conducted within the scope of anti-smuggling operations, teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, acting in coordination with the Geyve Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out an operation named "Anatolian Heritage" on June 26 at a designated address in the İnciksuyu neighborhood of Geyve district.

A MUSEUM EMERGED FROM HIS HOME

Within the scope of the operation, detailed searches were conducted at the residence of the suspect under surveillance. During the searches, a total of 806 historical artifacts were seized, including 584 coins, 177 precious stones, and 45 objects, all bearing the characteristics of historical artifacts.

LEGAL PROCEEDINGS INITIATED

The seized historical artifacts were taken into custody and dispatched for delivery to the Museum Directorate, while legal proceedings were initiated against the detained suspect on charges of "Violation of the Law on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Assets."
