The Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK) has decided to relegate Yeni Malatyaspor, which competes in the Nesine 2nd League Red Group, to a lower league.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has relegated Yeni Malatyaspor, which has faced a deprivation of rights penalty for many of its players due to a betting investigation.

YENİ MALATYASPOR HAS BEEN RELEGATED

Struggling to form a squad, Yeni Malatyaspor has been relegated to the 3rd League due to not playing consecutive matches. The TFF decided that, following the relegation of Yeni Malatyaspor to a lower league, other teams that were scheduled to face Yeni Malatyaspor would be declared winners without playing the matches.

In a statement from the PFDK, it was said, ''Due to the failure of YENİ MALATYASPOR Club to arrive at the field at the designated and announced time with the match attire during the GRANNY'S WAFFLES KIRKLARELİSPOR-YENİ MALATYASPOR Nesine 2nd League Red Group match played on December 13, 2025, and because this action was repeated for the second time in the same season, it has been decided to declare them (3-0) HÜKMEN MAĞLUP (forfeit loss) in accordance with Article 24/1-a of the Football Match Regulations, to relegate them to a lower league, and to declare other teams that have matches with this team as winners without playing their matches from this date forward.''

THEY HAD NOT PLAYED IN THE LAST 3 MATCHES EITHER

The yellow-black team had not played against Adanaspor on November 29, Isparta 32 SK on December 6, and Kırklarelispor on December 13. The match of the Malatya representative against Menemen FK on December 17 was postponed to December 24.
