POLICE ARE AFTER THE ESCAPED ATTACKERS
The incident took place last night around 03:00 in Havaalanı Mahallesi. According to the information obtained, Ali Özdemir, known as Ilahici Ali on social media, came from Konya to Istanbul to meet his followers. Özdemir stated that when he wanted to go to a house in Esenler to spend the night, he was shot at by a person he claimed not to know. After the sound of gunshots, the residents of the neighborhood who came to the window first provided first aid to Özdemir, who was lying on the ground covered in blood, and then reported the situation to the police and medical teams. Özdemir was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The police have launched an operation to capture the suspect.
"BULLETS HIT HIS LEG"
Furkan Çoban, who provided first aid to Özdemir, said, "We heard 4 gunshots around 03:00 at night. When we looked out the window, we saw a person lying on the ground, and we went downstairs to intervene. The bullets hit his leg. Luckily, there was a healthcare professional present. I don't know how he is doing. Hopefully, he is fine. They said he was Ilahici Ali. We already recognized his face. When we looked it up on the internet, we saw that it was him."
ATTACK CAUGHT ON CAMERA
In the footage captured by the security camera, it can be seen that Ilahici Ali and the suspect talked for a while, and then the suspect pulled out a gun from his waist and fired before fleeing.
