A passenger plane belonging to AJet, traveling from Yüksekova district of Hakkari to Ankara, skidded off the runway and got stuck in the mud during landing. It was reported that there were no casualties or property damage in the incident. Airport authorities announced that efforts to evacuate the passengers had been initiated.

AJet Press Advisor Mehmet Yeşilkaya stated in a social media announcement, "Our flight coded VF4316, which took off from Esenboğa Airport at 11:20, had its front wheel stuck in the mud due to heavy rain during its landing at Hakkâri Yüksekova Airport at 13:15. The health status of our passengers is good. We wish our guests a speedy recovery."
