In the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, residents carried out an unusual protest on a 20-kilometer village road that has turned into a molehill due to winter rains. Citizens symbolically planted trees in the deep potholes of the road used by approximately 20 villages and hamlets, calling on authorities to urgently repair the road that is damaging their vehicles.
The neighborhood roads in the Haseran region, used by nearly 20 villages and hamlets in the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, were damaged due to the rainy winter season.

Bülent Aldağ and Servan Dağtekin, residents of the region seeking to make their voices heard, symbolically planted trees in the deep potholes that formed on the road.

Bülent Aldağ said, ''The road is about 20 kilometers long, and many villagers use it. There are numerous deep potholes on the road. The potholes damage vehicles. We resorted to such a method to make our voices heard. We want this road to be built by the authorities.''
