As a result of an inspection conducted by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams on a chain supermarket that was transporting meat under inappropriate conditions in a minibus used for staff transportation in Ankara, a fine of 1,305,242 Turkish lira was imposed.
A video showing meat being transported under inappropriate conditions on the floor and seats of a staff minibus belonging to a chain supermarket in the capital Ankara was shared on social media.
1 MILLION 305 THOUSAND LIRA FINE
Following the disturbing images, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams initiated an investigation. Additionally, inspections were conducted at the branches of the mentioned chain supermarket. As a result of the investigation and inspections, a fine of 1 million 305 thousand 242 lira was imposed.
STATEMENT MADE
In a statement made by the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, it was stated, "Following the inappropriate meat transport images reflected on some social media accounts of the chain supermarket operating in our province, necessary administrative actions have been taken against the company as a result of inspections conducted at all its branches across the province, and a total fine of 1 million 305 thousand 242 lira has been imposed."
