The renovation work initiated to make İsmail Ogan Stadium in Serik district of Antalya compliant with the criteria set by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has been halted.
RENOVATION STOPPED 20 DAYS AGO
Following Serik Spor's promotion to the 1st League this season, renovation work was started at İsmail Ogan Stadium to meet the criteria set by the Turkish Football Federation, but the work was halted approximately 20 days ago for unknown reasons. The stadium, owned by Serik Municipality, was leased to Serik Spor Football Inc. for 10 years under a protocol signed at the beginning of the season, on the condition that the renovation would be carried out by the club. The club had also started the renovation work on August 15.
FANS ARE REACTING
In accordance with the criteria set by the TFF, some work has been done on the stands, under the stands, the roof of the stands, electrical infrastructure, and the playing surface. While the innovations that need to be made as part of the renovation project were expected to be completed as soon as possible so that Serik Spor could play its matches at its own stadium, the halt of the renovation work has caused a reaction from the fans. Due to the unfinished work at the stadium, Serik Spor will play its match against Bandırma Spor in the 6th week of the league at Aktepe Stadium in Keçiören district of Ankara.
