Due to the issues she faced with her father in Adana, Nevin, who donated her million-dollar assets to the Turkish Armed Forces, was diagnosed with "psychosis" in the guardian case filed by her father and was admitted to a mental hospital. The report result for teacher Nevin Vurunbiği has been released. After staying in the hospital for 16 days, she received a healthy report from the board's decision. Thus, the teacher, who left the hospital, took a breath next to her students and handed out their report cards.
51-year-old history teacher Nevin Vurunbiği, who has two houses in Silifke district of Mersin and Adana, two vehicles, and approximately 2 million lira in savings in the bank, had a serious disagreement with her 77-year-old father, M.V. According to allegations, the father wanted the house in Silifke to be transferred to his name. Refusing this request, teacher Vurunbiği donated all her assets to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) as the pressures increased. After learning that his daughter had donated all her assets to the TSK, the father filed for guardianship.
Due to the lawsuit, a freeze was placed on the teacher's bank accounts. During the period when she donated her assets to the TSK, teacher Vurunbiği received a report from the same hospital stating "She is healthy, can buy and sell property." However, only a year later, she was diagnosed with "psychosis" at the same hospital. Additionally, it was decided that the teacher would be hospitalized and observed by court order. Nevin Vurunbiği, who did not go to the hospital, was admitted to Dr. Ekrem Tok Mental Health and Diseases Hospital on December 30, accompanied by the police.
STAYED IN HOSPITAL FOR 16 DAYS, RECEIVED A HEALTHY REPORT
Vurunbiği entered the hospital in 2026. After staying in the hospital for approximately 16 days, doctors examined the teacher one by one and also gathered information from her surroundings. In the evaluation made by the hospital board, a report was prepared stating that the teacher did not have "psychosis" and that she would make her own decisions. Following this, the teacher was discharged from the hospital on January 14. As soon as she was discharged, the teacher ran to her students.
"IT'S VERY SAD FOR A FATHER TO DO THIS"
Nevin Vurunbiği described her experiences: "We went through this process due to an accusation made against me by my family. Finally, I completed the process and reunited with my students. They wanted my assets, and I did not accept this. I had left it to the Turkish Armed Forces as a will. When they heard this, they came after me. They claimed that I was not in my right mind and got a court order to have me hospitalized. I stayed in the hospital for 16 days and was given a healthy report. Staying here for 16 days was incredibly difficult. It is very sad and heartbreaking for a father to do this. There could have been solutions before reaching this stage, but it became very heavy and sad to come to this situation."
"I'M VERY HAPPY TO REUNITE WITH MY STUDENTS"
Vurunbiği said, "I am very happy to reunite with my students. I missed them a lot. From now on, I will try to forget the process I went through. During the 16 days I stayed in the hospital, I missed my students, my school, and my friends very much."
