The process has begun for the Ramadan Bayram bonus that millions of retirees have been waiting for. The first payments for those receiving monthly pensions under SSK (4a) were made today, and the schedule for the remaining payments has been clarified. BAĞ-KUR (4b) retirees will receive their bonuses on March 27.
The long-awaited bonus payments for retirees start today. Since the additional increase of one thousand lira for 2025 could not be reflected in the accounts due to the discussions in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), it was proposed that the old amounts be deposited before the holiday, and the additional amounts after the holiday.
It is expected that the discussions regarding the increase in the retirement bonus will be addressed in the first session of the TBMM, but due to the approaching Ramadan holiday, the old amounts are set to be deposited into accounts before the new regulation is completed. Since it was understood that the proposal to be approved in the TBMM might be delayed until after the Ramadan holiday for the President's approval and publication in the Official Gazette, it was decided to ensure that the old amounts are deposited before the holiday to prevent retirees from being disadvantaged.
3 THOUSAND LIRA DEPOSITED FOR HOLIDAY BONUS
In a statement made from the official social media account of the Turkish Social Security Institution (T.C. Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu), the payment days for the 3000 TL holiday bonus were announced.
Accordingly;
Payment day for those receiving monthly payments under SSK (4a):
For those with 17, 18, 19: March 24
For those with 20, 21, 22: March 25
For those with 23, 24, 25, 26: March 26
Payment day for those receiving monthly payments under BAĞ-KUR (4b): March 27
Payment day for those receiving monthly payments under the Retirement Fund (4c): March 28, along with the April period monthly payments.
The statement also included, "Following the enactment and publication in the Official Gazette of the ongoing legislative work in the TBMM aimed at increasing the holiday bonus amount, the payment of the difference amounts will be carried out as soon as possible."
