Following the discussions that began regarding the cleanliness of schools, the Ministry of National Education has reached the final stage of its ongoing work. Salaries and working conditions have been determined for the positions opened for a staff of 30,000. Here are the details.

The start of the new academic year has turned the issue of cleanliness in schools into one of the biggest discussions. Due to the lack of cleaning staff, school administrations have begun to request financial support from parents to employ personnel. A quota of 120,000 has been allocated to the Ministry of National Education under the labor adaptation program. Those accepted into this program will work 3 days a week. Applications for the program remained limited due to the low wages offered for the positions.

Following this crisis in schools, the eyes turned to the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, who indicated that the problem would be solved by hiring 30,000 personnel by September 23. The issue is being resolved with the provision of additional quotas.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS?

According to CNN Türk's news; in addition to the 120,000 quotas for school cleanliness, a quota of 30,000 has been allocated for a duration of 6 months. Those applying for the new quota of 30,000, outside the scope of the labor adaptation program, will work 5 days a week. They will receive the minimum monthly wage, but there will be a deduction from their daily salary of 667 lira for each day they do not attend work.

APPLICATIONS WILL LAST 3 DAYS

Applications can start at any moment. Applications will be accepted through e-Government, ALO 170, and service units and will last for 3 days.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE 30,000 PERSONNEL POSITION?

Those applying for the 30,000 personnel position must be citizens of the Republic of Turkey, must not have completed 18 years of age, and must not be receiving retirement or disability pensions. These individuals must not be students, must not be insured elsewhere, must reside at the same address according to the address registration system during the period of employment, and must also be registered with İŞKUR.

In statements regarding the issue, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said, "We have allocated 30,000 appointments for cleaning staff in schools."
