The inflation rate for March announced by TÜİK is also considered important data for the salary increase rates for civil servants and retirees. Accordingly, the initial calculations for the salary increase rates for all civil servants and retirees have changed based on the latest inflation data. Thus, the increase rate that SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive has already become 10.05%.

With the announcement of the inflation for March, the first data regarding the increase rates to be applied for both civil servant salaries and SSK and Bağkur pensions have also emerged. New salary increases will be calculated based on this data, known as the 3-month inflation difference. In other words, the increase rate for the period between July and December, which is the second half of the year, has changed with the 3-month inflation data.

10.05% INCREASE IN HAND

According to the latest figures announced by TÜİK, the inflation rate for March 2025 was realized at 2.46. Thus, the third inflation data of the year, which is used as a basis for calculating the salaries of civil servants and retirees, has also become clear. Based on this calculation, the increase rate for pensions was 5.03% for January, 2.27% for February, and 2.46% for March. The total of this three-month inflation difference, which amounts to 10.05%, has emerged as the confirmed increase rate that SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive. It is expected that the inflation figures for April, May, and June will be announced to reveal the 6-month difference in the increase rate.

3 MORE DATA REMAIN FOR CIVIL SERVANTS AND RETIRED CIVIL SERVANTS

For civil servant salaries and the salaries of retired civil servants, an increase of 6% will be made in the first 6 months of this year, and an increase of 5% will be made in the second 6 months. These increase rates will only be realized if they remain below inflation. If inflation remains higher than the increase rates, civil servants and retired civil servants will also see the inflation difference as an increase in their salaries. The inflation data for April, May, and June also needs to be announced for the salary increase of civil servants and retired civil servants.
