SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ESCAPES DEATH DUE TO GUN JAMMING

The incident took place on Tuesday, September 11th, at around 17:05 in Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Middle School in Güzelyurt neighborhood, Yunusemre district. According to allegations, Sait Tan, who was angry about his child, A.T., repeating the 6th grade, first threatened the principal, Mustafa Örnek, over the phone, and then came to the school with his car. Sait Tan insulted the principal and called him to the garden. When the principal came down, Sait Tan pointed the gun he took out from his waist at Principal Örnek. However, the attacker's gun jammed as he aimed and pulled the trigger. After trying again on the ground, Sait Tan's gun jammed again. After sitting in his car for a while, Sait Tan fired a shot in front of the school before leaving the scene.

Principal Örnek narrowly escaped without any injuries due to the gun jamming during the first attempt. The police have launched an extensive operation to apprehend the suspect. Meanwhile, the attempted armed attack was captured on the school's security camera.
