After her brother, her uncle was also taken into custody. However, it was determined that neither of the slippers belonged to Narin Güran, according to the statements of her family. As part of the investigation, Narin Güran's brother E.G. (18) was detained due to bite marks on his arm. When it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin or not in the examination at Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released. While the investigation continues, Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of Tavşantepe neighborhood, S.G., was also taken into custody.
