The Secure Payment System has been successfully implemented in second-hand vehicle sales.

The Ministry of Trade stated that the 'Secure Payment System' for second-hand vehicle sales has been successful, as the money remains in the bank pool until the sale is completed and approval is obtained for each transaction, eliminating disputes and preventing fraud.

MANDATORY SINCE THE 27TH

The 'Secure Payment System' has started for second-hand vehicle sales. The payment system, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and the Union of Notaries of Turkey, has been made mandatory as of September 27. With this system, disputes regarding payments between buyers and sellers have been eliminated, and industry representatives and citizens have expressed their satisfaction with this application. Thanks to this system, various fraud risks such as counterfeit money, difficulties in cash payments, and non-payment of the sale price have been eliminated.

CITIZENS WERE BEING VICTIMIZED

Fahri Karlık, who buys and sells second-hand cars, said, "The new system, the 'secure shopping system,' is something we have been requesting for a long time. There are many fraudsters in the market. Citizens were being victimized. This situation saddened us a lot. To prevent this, coordinated work was done with the presidency of the car dealers' association and our ministry. As of September 27, we switched to the secure shopping system. You register your vehicle in the system through e-government or through contracted banks, and the bank sends a password to the buyer, seller, and notary. After the password is received, the sale is made. The money stays in the pool of contracted banks. After the money falls into the pool, messages are sent. After the transaction is completed, the money in the pool is transferred to the seller. Since we started the secure payment system, fraud has completely disappeared. It is absolutely impossible for a citizen to be defrauded in this system. The system is very simple; it takes less than half a minute," he said.

MUCH SAFER FOR US

Şennur Kesicioğlu (51), a married mother of two, who said the secure shopping system is very good, stated, "The secure shopping system has been very beneficial. It feels great to do this job without being defrauded. It is safer and more guaranteed for us. I have bought a vehicle before, but I was anxious. Now I feel very comfortable; we are satisfied."

THIS SYSTEM IS VERY GOOD

Ali Berke Belli (20), who buys and sells cars, said, "This system is very good, very comfortable. Zero risk. After the sale, the money goes to the seller's account. The buyer is protected." Hüseyin Palak (27), who bought the vehicle from Belli, also stated, "The new system is secure. In the past, we would think, 'Will they back out?' or 'Will I be deceived?' Now we shop with peace of mind. It is safe and comfortable; I am very happy."
