The incident occurred on August 12, 2024, in Şehit Rüstem Demirbaş Park located in the Uluönder neighborhood of the Tepebaşı district. Wearing a tactical vest with a neo-Nazi symbol, using a helmet and glasses, and concealing his face with a mask, Arda Küçükyetim stabbed 5 citizens in a tea garden.

Küçükyetim, who broadcasted these moments live from his mobile phone, was taken into custody and referred to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for arrest. In the trial at the Eskişehir 6th High Criminal Court, a prison sentence of up to 100 years was requested for 'Attempted Murder with Premeditation' and up to 8 years for the crime of 'Threat with the Intent to Create Fear and Panic Among the Public.'

A verdict was reached in the case where the suspect Arda Küçükyetim was tried. In the closed hearing held, it was learned that Küçükyetim was sentenced to 15 years separately for each of the 4 counts of 'Attempted Murder with Premeditation', 11 years and 8 months for another count of 'Attempted Murder with Premeditation', and 3 years and 9 months for the crime of 'Threat with the Intent to Create Fear and Panic'. It was stated that Küçükyetim was given a total sentence of 74 years and 17 months in prison.
