The father of the murdered Miss Switzerland finalist found his daughter's head in a garbage bag in the laundry room. Her partially pureed remains had been left there by her husband. This information was disclosed to MailOnline by a family friend.

38-year-old Kristina Joksimovic was strangled, dismembered, and decapitated by her 41-year-old husband Marc Rieben. Her husband blended some of the remains into a puree using an industrial blender and removed her uterus.

The remains were discovered in a horrifying manner by the father on February 13th. According to the family friend who spoke to MailOnline, the father found a black garbage bag with yellow hair sticking out of it in the laundry room of the large house on the "golden hill" in Binningen near Basel.

The family friend, who had known Kristina's family and other relatives for years, said, "When he opened the black garbage bag, he saw her severed head with her hair still attached."

According to a close friend of Kristina, her father made this disturbing discovery after spending hours at home, having dinner with his two grandchildren aged three and four, and talking to Marc. Marc had repeatedly feigned ignorance about the whereabouts of the former model.

The parents initially became concerned when their daughter's kindergarten called and asked them to pick up their children because their daughter had not arrived at school.

When Marc dropped off the children at home, he claimed not to know where Kristina was and offered something to drink to his father-in-law.

"He acted as if nothing was wrong for hours, chatted with his father-in-law, prepared dinner for everyone, and put the children to bed. His father-in-law went to pick up his mother-in-law and returned home."

"Marc insisted that he didn't know where Kristina was and sometimes claimed that she would disappear."

"Her mother wanted to report her missing to the police, but they couldn't do anything because she hadn't been missing for more than a day, and Marc eventually hung up the phone," the friend told MailOnline.

While talking to his mother-in-law, Kristina's father searched for traces of his daughter in every room of the house.

When he reached the basement where the laundry room was located, he found a "thick-walled isolated shelter" with a large black garbage bag containing hair strands.

"When he found her severed head inside, he ran out of the garage door screaming and asked a passerby to call the police. Then he returned home and confronted his son-in-law. The son-in-law was shocked because he probably didn't think anyone would find him."

"As the police handcuffed Marc and took him away, Marc calmly said to his mother-in-law, 'Well, you said you would come for a short while.' He showed no remorse. How unstable must one be to not show a single emotion?"
