In a statement from the club, it was said, "A disciplinary investigation has been initiated to expel the person, who is unfortunately a member of our Congress, from membership due to the racist and hate-filled messages directed at Shakhtar Donetsk player Kevin, which have been reflected to the public, and who clearly does not share the values of Beşiktaş with this tragic incident. Our club and the great Beşiktaş fans have clearly expressed their stance against racism in many similar incidents in the past. On this occasion, we once again condemn racism in all areas of life, especially in sports fields."
