O.D. and O.S., who were carrying 20 million 322 thousand TL from Istanbul to Bursa, were intercepted in Bursa and the boxes filled with money were seized. The events were captured on camera, and 7 suspects were detained. It was revealed that the suspects carrying the money acted in coordination with other suspects, that the incident was premeditated, and that the seized money and valuables were proceeds of money laundering obtained through gambling.
An event like a movie occurred on February 17 at around 11:00 AM in the Hasanağa Street of the Balkan Neighborhood in Nilüfer district of Bursa. The front of the vehicle used by O.D. and O.S., who were on their way to deliver 20 million 322 thousand TL belonging to Ö.U. from Istanbul to a businessman named B.S. in Bursa, was blocked by a car.
WEALTH TRANSPORTED IN BOXES WAS ROBBED
The money stored in boxes in the vehicle was robbed by the suspects. Following the incident, teams from the Bursa Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch and the Nilüfer District Police Department initiated an investigation. Security camera footage regarding the suspects' arrival in Bursa and their duration of stay in the city was examined one by one, and field research was conducted.
IT WAS PART OF A ROBBERY PLAN
As a result of the investigations, it was determined that O.D. and O.S., who were carrying the money, acted together with S.K., M.K., E.S., A.K., E.T., A.Ç., and F.D., who were identified as having carried out the robbery. In an operation, 7 suspects who were caught at the addresses where they were hiding were found to have 5 million 173 thousand 900 TL in cash, jewelry worth 8 million 311 thousand 982 TL, and a shotgun that was stated to be related to the crime seized during the searches conducted at their addresses.
THEY WON THE MONEY THROUGH BETTING
The suspects claimed in their initial statements at the police that they won the seized money and jewelry through betting. The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
