As the eyes turn to the appellate court during the CHP's congress lawsuit process, it has been claimed that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu would accept the position if a decision of absolute nullity is issued and could take steps towards municipalities. Additionally, it is suggested that Kılıçdaroğlu could temporarily remove mayors, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, Rıza Akpolat, Resul Emrah Şahan, and Mehmet Murat Çalık, from membership.
After the request to merge the criminal case related to the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP with the İBB corruption case, attention turned to the absolute nullity case in the appellate court. While waiting for the decision of the higher court, the roadmap that the former leader of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, will follow has also become clear.
KILIÇDAROĞLU WILL ACCEPT THE POSITION
It has been learned that Kılıçdaroğlu will follow a three-step strategy and will accept the position if the court issues a decision of absolute nullity or a call committee decision.
HE WILL IGNORE THE CRITICISMS
Close associates of the former CHP leader stated that Kılıçdaroğlu wants the CHP to distance itself from scandals and to be cleansed of corruption and bribery allegations, and that he will stand firm despite the reactions from his party. Sources indicated that the former chairman believes the reactions will be short-lived and will subside after the first week, and that he will not respond to the criticisms.
CLAIM OF EXPELLING ALL MAYORS INCLUDING İMAMOĞLU
According to a report by Türkiye Gazetesi, one of the steps Kılıçdaroğlu will take is a 'cleaning operation' targeting municipalities. It has been stated that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will tell those accused of bribery and corruption to "come and be acquitted before the judiciary." In this context, it is also suggested that mayors whose trials are ongoing or about to begin, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, Rıza Akpolat, Resul Emrah Şahan, and Mehmet Murat Çalık, may be temporarily expelled from membership.
