Epözdemir emphasized that he could not make sense of the transparent plastic bag found in the grave, stating that this situation contains doubts that the skull and bones were placed in the grave later with a bag.

Epözdemir requested the prosecutor's office to seize the bag and conduct fingerprint and DNA analysis, stating the following in a statement on his social media account: "Many press members and journalist friends are asking. In the minutes recorded as a result of the excavation process yesterday, it was noted that 'The grave is two stories, the first layer of the grave is empty, there are some bone samples under the removed concrete layers, all the bones are scattered, meaning they are in a free state, there is no shroud or cloth surrounding the body.'

It was also noted that there was a transparent plastic bag measuring 30x30 cm containing a knot inside the grave. We cannot understand how, under what conditions, and for what purpose this 30x30 cm transparent plastic bag was found inside the grave. The presence of this 30x30 cm transparent plastic bag inside the grave raises deep doubts and suspicions that the bones and skull, which are to be examined, were placed inside the grave later through a bag. Therefore, we have applied to the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office today to request the seizure of this bag and to conduct fingerprint and DNA analysis on it. We respectfully submit this to the public's information."
