Accordingly, the national occupational standards prepared for the professions of "singer" (level 6), "instrumentalist" (level 6), and "choir conductor" (level 6) have been published in the Official Gazette and have come into effect.



"A SINGER MUST WARM UP THEIR VOICE BEFORE PERFORMING"



In the standard, the profession of "singer" is defined as "a qualified person who prepares to perform the work, performs the work, and engages in activities related to professional development."



Among the professional knowledge and practical skills of singing, it is listed that the singer should adjust their nutrition and sleep schedule according to the event date for vocal health and performance success, perform exercises to activate/stimulate the vocal organs and warm up their voice before performing the work, determine their repertoire, and conduct a rehearsal of the repertoire.



"AN INSTRUMENTALIST MUST MAINTAIN THEIR INSTRUMENT"



In the definition of the instrumentalist, the expression "a person who prepares both physically and for their instrument according to the type of instrument, participates in repertoire studies and rehearsal processes within this framework, and plays the works with their professional instrument as required by the event" is used.



Among the professional knowledge and practical skills of instrumentalists, it is also stated that the instrumentalist should select the works to be played considering the duration of the event from the works they have studied, maintain their instrument and equipment according to the type, and perform physical and technical exercises according to the type of professional instrument.

In the standard, the profession of "choir conductor" is defined as "a qualified person who establishes the choir, prepares for choir performance, conducts the choir, and engages in activities related to professional development."
