Müge Karataşlı, who lost her sister Özüm in Bolu Kartalkaya, shared a video she recorded inside the hotel that turned into hell. In the video she shared with the note, "My family and I managed to survive the helplessness you see in this video," Karataşlı can be heard saying, "We are trapped on the 8th floor. I think we are about to die. Life was very beautiful."
In the fire disaster at the 12-story Grand Kartal hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort, 78 people lost their lives. Müge Karataşlı, the sister of 17-year-old Özüm Karataş, who died in the fire, shared a video she recorded inside the hotel during the incident.
"WE MANAGED TO SURVIVE FROM THE DESPERATION YOU SEE"
Karataşlı, who was trapped on the 8th floor of the hotel during the fire, shared the footage capturing the despair she experienced with her family, stating, "My family and I managed to survive from the desperation you see in this video... We are in an event where we don't even know who to blame or hold accountable... For the sake of the 17 years my sister lived happily, we have no choice but to try to calm ourselves..."
"WE ARE ABOUT TO DIE"
In the footage, cries for help and sounds of things breaking could be heard in the background. Karataşlı stated in the video, "We are currently at Bolu Kartalkaya Grand Kartal. A fire broke out, and we are trapped on the 8th floor. I think we are about to die. Life was so beautiful."

ÖZÜM GOT LOST WHEN SHE RAN IN ANOTHER DIRECTION
The fire disaster also affected Dentist Macit Karataşlı and his family. The family, who were caught in the fire while sleeping, managed to leave the hotel during the great panic, but their 17-year-old daughter Özüm Karataşlı got lost when she ran in another direction. Immediately after the disaster, the family started searching for their daughter but received the tragic news. The funeral of Özüm Karataşlı, who lost her life, was buried in tears.
"THEY MADE ME IDENTIFY MY CHILD'S BODY"
The grieving mother, Nilgün Karataşlı, cried out, "The news of my child's death was in the newspaper headlines, they made me identify my child's body, how can a mother identify a corpse?"
"HUMAN LIFE IS CHEAP IN THIS COUNTRY"
Father Macit Karataşlı stated, "My heart is burning, I lost my angel. There were no precautions. There is no fire escape, no alarm, no detector. We threw the sheet down. Özüm was staying with her sisters, and we were staying with my wife. She woke up and woke us up. Coincidentally, there is an elevator across from the room. When she said, 'Come on, we are going quickly,' the room panicked and rushed to the elevator, and they all died there at once. What can I say to whom? Human life is cheap in this country. One blames the other, and the other blames the next. Who is guilty here? We are guilty," he said.
