The ceremony, attended by many important figures in Turkish football, including Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç, drew attention with the playing of the song "My Homeland is Different" as requested by the Daum family.

Many figures from Turkish football, including Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç, coach Yılmaz Vural, legendary footballers Volkan Demirel, Tanju Çolak, Tuncay Şanlı, Selçuk Şahin, and Servet Yardımcı, attended the funeral ceremony in Cologne, Germany, for German coach Christoph Daum, who served at Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Bursaspor and passed away at the age of 70.
"MY HOMELAND IS UNIQUE" SONG TOUCHED HEARTS
Emotional moments were experienced during the photo and video presentation and speeches that depicted Daum's old days. The orchestra conducted by Turkish chef and composer Betin Güneş performed the song "My homeland is unique," which Daum's family requested to emphasize their Turkish friendship.
KOÇ AND ŞAKUL DELIVERED SPEECHES
In addition to figures well-known in the German sports community, politicians also gave speeches at the ceremony. Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç and Beşiktaş Secretary General Kaan Şakul took the stage.
Ali Koç expressed his condolences to the Daum family, saying, "I wish you patience and strength during this difficult time. He was a great leader, a wonderful person who touched many hearts."
Kaan Şakul, Beşiktaş Secretary General, said, "He was a wonderful person who touched many hearts on and off the field. Rest in peace, Mr. Daum. We will miss you, but we will never forget you."
