Mahsun Kırmızıgül's statement, who was summoned to the prosecutor's office to provide information within the scope of the Ahbap Association investigation, has emerged. The testimony of famous singer and director Mahsun Kırmızıgül, who was summoned to testify as a "person with knowledge" within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Ahbap Association, has been revealed.
"HE HAD CERTAIN HABITS THAT DROVE HIM INTO DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES"
Kırmızıgül, stating that he had been with Levent since their youth and the early stages of his life journey, said the following in his testimony:
"I knew Haluk Levent a very long time ago. As can be understood from my statement, we were together from my youth and the early stages of his life journey. During that period, he experienced some problems; he had certain habits. These were driving him into difficult circumstances. At one point, he was admitted to a penal institution. We personally took him and handed him over to the institution. We made great efforts, both materially and morally, for him to get out of these difficult situations.
Then, in 2023, a major earthquake disaster occurred. During that period, the Ahbap Association made a significant impact. In my inner world, I was happy both because of the aid to be provided and the hope that Haluk Levent would do a better job. At this point, I am incredibly saddened as I hear about the events and allegations.
"I DID NOT PERSONALLY PROVIDE AID"
I went to Adıyaman with my own means during that period. I put in serious effort, both materially and morally. I personally organized and coordinated the aid. I also spoke with Haluk Levent. The association sent 1500 of their tents; we distributed them ourselves. However, I neither provided any personal aid nor made any effort for aid to be provided.
We had communicated with AFAD, public institutions, and this association to do our best. I do not think our country, our citizens, or any person deserves what has happened. As I said in my statement, I wish these things had not happened. Consciences have been wounded. That is all I have to say."
